Before You Say I Do was established by Elaine Keenan and Neil Power to help couples navigate their new marriages with certainty and confidence and to avoid the most common pitfalls of married life.

Elaine and Neil are both accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners (FDRPs) and have worked with separating couples as mediators, helping them manage the technical aspects of their mediation, mostly around property and parenting. 

​

In this role they have gained a thorough understanding of the reasons marriages struggle and ultimately fail.  Very often the lack of effective communication and unclear expectations around how their lives will pan out are to blame.

We launched Before You Say I Do to pass on our learnings to couples at the outset of their married journey with a view to providing them with the knowledge and confidence required to address concerns that may arise before they become issues later.

We have identified the most important matters / issues any couple will face through life and we guide our clients through addressing these topics from the outset.

​

In a healthy relationship, no topic should be off the table for discussion. We empower our clients to be able to raise any issue.

About Neil

Neil comes with a 25 year background in finance and funds management before his journey into separation mediation and Family Dispute Resolution.

Elaine has worked as an FDRP for ten years and brings skills honed after facilitating thousands of difficult conversations between couples and helping them reach agreement.
